Franklin, Kentucky Police Department Unveils New Community-Focused Police Headquarters
Over the last several years, the Franklin Police Department has been planning for a massive upgrade to their facility. But this is more than just a police department, it's a community hub – featuring a newly restored historical building, a playground, a pavilion, and more to come. This documentary details the behind the scenes process for creating an industry-leading space that not only support police operations, but improves the way the police interact with the community on a regular basis.
The Challenge
Our client wanted to make sure that a large variety of perspectives on the project's development were represented, but with a facility that is so multipurpose it can be a challenge to make sure each crucial element is equally represented.
The Approach
We produced a chaptered documentary that ensures the perspectives from the local schools, African American heritage society, city planning, and police operations on how and why this facility came to be. Franklin is truly leading the way in this effort.
